What types of projects have you worked on recently?
Custom RF tag reader, radio over fiber system, proprietary oilfield system, VHF pager transmitter, cable TV receiver, UHF radar response transmitter, UHF receiver, airport wireless surveillance analysis, 2.4 GHz down-converter, custom microwave frequency synthesizer, 802.11(g) transverter, FM broadcast site installation and licensing.
Do you do work in other areas of electrical engineering?
Yes, in addition to RF and optical design, we do basic digital design (CPLD, micro-controller, and DSP) in support of RF and optical projects. We also do board layout for your existing analog/RF circuits. We subcontract with expert consultants in other areas of expertise (digital networking, packaging, software, etc.) when your project spans beyond RF or optical design.
Do you do site surveys or installations?
We do broadcast engineering including some site installations for regional customers. We do not do cell phone or WiFi site surveys or installations.
Will you work at a customer site? We have a fully equipped laboratory here in Colorado. Most of our customers hire us because they do not have the expertise or tools to perform the RF or optical aspect of their design work. We are available to travel occasionally to a customer site for briefings, discussions, testing, or demonstrations.
How do I begin working with Red Mountain Radio?
E-mail or telephone us with a description of your project or other needs. We will work with you to clarify your requirements and provide you with a quotation or cost estimate for the work.
How does your billing work?
We bill monthly with a flat hourly rate. Terms are Net 30 days. We generally do not do fixed price contracts.
Do you sell solutions?
Solutions are generally used to dissolve or dilute. We don't sell solutions, but we do solve problems.
